Just a few weeks into the new year and....I was for sure I would have my commissions journal up by now. I had almost forgotten about a gift for my mother's 50th birthday ( I had gotten her others things, mind you, but she wanted me to make her a pear scarf), and then I promised a Hexapus for the EMTC.  Add to that a poptart scarf I told Dylan I would make before Xmas and a puzzle piece afghan I started for him AGES ago and then kinda...pushed aside......yeah.  I have quite the to-do list.  Granted, once I get the scarf and hex done, I should be able to put up the journal.

Sadly, all of this yarning leaves me little time to pixel. Granted, it kinda works out since I don't have a lot of inspiration.  Or is it motivation?  Or is it both? I know in just a couple weeks I will get into a pixelling groove, it comes and goes, but it always seems weird when I spend all my time with yarn and very little with the pixels.

I have been feeling a little disconnected from dA for the last week or so.  Mind you, it isn't anything to do with the community or people here.  I have just been battling another cold...as well as playing nurse to my boys.  I will be happy when this crazy weather and winter is over with.  It is freezing one week, mild the next...it is wreaking having on the viruses!  Or is that virusi?

I need to add a few things to this awesome journal to spiff it up, but for the reasons mentioned above, I just don't have it in.  I have updated the project and contest list over at Emotizine as of the last posting, so you could always go over there and see if there is anything that tickles your fancy.

I have been extremely blessed in the last couple days to receive some random and not-so-random gifts.  Due to feeling under the weather and just having the winter blues, each one of these have brought a little happy in to my days.  I will share them with you now.  A big thanks to each person for being so thoughtful.
