Emoticon Contest: past vs. present vs. futureI am proud to present you my first "official" Emoticon Contest.

At first I want to tell you something about the theme:
As you have read the theme is past vs. present vs. future, this means your entry has to include something from the past, present and future. The time isn't set, this means that the past could be just 1 day ago or 100 years ago it's the same with the future. For example: you could display how the emotes have lived in the past how they are living now and how they could live in the future.
Be creative and surprise me with your imagination

The Contest is divided into 2 Categories:
The first Category will be for deviants who would like to work alone. And the second category is for deviants who want to work with somebody (a collaboration category ;D) 2 deviants can work together.
But you could also enter in both categories!

Below you can find the rules of each category and what you have to keep in mind.

I thought it would be nice to create welcoming gifts for the next Emoticon CV.

The goal of this project is to  show that we fully support the next emoticon community volunteer, no matter who it will be.
All you have to do is to create an Emoticon that shows what the next cv could need,  a bucket full of love or something completely different ;D
if you want to you could display the emote version of the next emote cv as a black emote with a questionmark and as soon as we know who the next emote cv will be, we change it to his/her oc.

SNOW

Originally, I was going to theme this month "Snowmen" as my oldest, Dylan, has told me all he wants for Christmas is a snowman.

However, I realized this might be a tad limiting.

So, I broadened it a bit...and decided on snow!

Whether it's snow angels, blizzards, a light dusting....really, there are quite a few ways you can go with this. And did I mention my old obsession, snowglobes?

Let's help me feel a little more festive (61 F in December?? Really?) by freezing as many tiny balls as possible.

CIRCUS

Here we are, second month of the new year...and things should be calming down now, right? Wrong! My life is a circus.

Crazy stuff is happening daily, with one kid climbing cat towers, the other balancing on the top of baby gates!

Daily life leaves me feeling like a ringmaster most of the time. So, your challenge, should you choose to accept it, will be to create an emote and some aspect of the Big Top! Perhaps your emote helps set up the tent, or flies on the trapeze, or just enjoys feeding peanuts to an elephant.

The sky is the limit!...or at least the roof of the tent.

So i herd u liek features?? Vol1For a while now, I've been out of the loop of the emote community. This has been down to a mixture of reasons, however, in a way I've missed it. I'm not ready to start up my old news article, but i feel it would be nice to offer a few features once in a while, whether they be emotes, groups or projects. So I've decided to post a journal, which may become a regular thing, promoting a few things i've seen in the emote community over the past few days.

Featured emotes

Toothless and Hiccup by =Kyramy is one of my favourite emotes posted recently. The shading and detail in each of the two characters is amazing and it just makes an adorable scene.

Over the years i've seen some great video game related emotes and this is another to add to the list. Tetris by =Web5teR has all the joys of the original game but with an added emote twist. The animation and looping is well thought out to create a brilliant emoticon

Time machine Collab made by =greenafire and ~Nice-Spice is brilliant collab between two newer emoticonists. The panels have each been nicely created with great consistency and some amusing scenes.

Emotication WeEmote #WeEmote Tutorials Note Me!

Two legs attached, only four more to go! There will be pictures before this day is over. And we are only 3 away from my 25 mark.

New prize added! A few points...and a small plushie! And...if we can manage 25 ENTRIES this month....I might be tempted to offer yarn creations for future contests as well.

TIME

I admit, the EMTC hasn't been getting a lot of love from me lately. Real life interceding, and all the stress and craziness of the holidays.

But, with the start of the new year, things will slow down and there will be "time"

to do more things. Hopefully.

This is suppose to be the last year and all.

Anyways, I decided this would be a good theme for the new year. Perhaps your emote finally has time to focus on some of its hobbies....or it is obsessed with clocks. Maybe it has run out of time?
